Fas Gas Plus cares about and wants to be actively involved in the communities we serve. We want to make a difference in the lives of those around us and we want our employees and store operators to be proud of the company they work for. Fas Gas Plus strives to be actively involved in supporting the non-urban communities that support our stations across Western Canada. We actively seek opportunities that increase access to essential services to the people living in non-urban communities. Our key areas of focus include health and well-being, family support, special needs, prevention of violence and youth development.
Fas Gas Plus is pleased to be a sponsor of the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer. Our longstanding relationship and support for the community of Red Deer dates back 50 years and we are very proud to be part of these Games in this great city. We are excited to be “Fuelling the Games” and wish all the participating athletes best of luck at the 2019 Canada Winter Games.
Fas Gas Plus is a proud sponsor of the Central Alberta Ronald McDonald House. Approximately 11,000 children from rural communities stay at the Red Deer Hospital each year. The House provides a ‘home away from home’ for them and their families.
Fas Gas Plus raised over $120,000 for the Central Alberta Ronald McDonald House in 2016 and has donated fuel to families who must travel long distances to stay at the house while their children receive medical care.
We have partnered with the Alberta Cancer Foundation as the Official Fuel Provider of the Digital Mammography Screening Program. In a three year agreement, we will provide gasoline and diesel fuel to power the Digital Mammography Screening Program, which includes two mobile screening trailers equipped with high quality mammography screening devices.
These trailers provide services to women in approximately 105 rural communities across Alberta to aid in the early detection of breast cancer.
